MANUSKRIPTA launched on 30 November 2011 in Jakarta by the Masyarakat Pernaskahan Nusantara (MANASSA) under the coordination of the Publication Team with ISSN: 2252-5343, e-ISSN: 2355-7605 in a printed version. This journal is published twice in a year (July-December). The journal also accepted the articles with English or Bahasa Indonesia.

In 2015, the Manuscript Journal was published in an online version in collaboration with the National Library of the Republic of Indonesia. The process of reviewing articles published is done by email. Every articles has a DOI number since 2019.

Starting in 2020, The journal uses the OJS system in the article review process to improve the quality of its publications.
